General Description: The Macon County Historical Museum celebrates the heritage of Macon County and the Southern Appalachian area. Displays featuring artifacts, documents, photos, tools, clothing and maps. Many special events are featured involving the museum. Open May - October Tuesday - Friday 10-5 and Saturdays 1-5. November - April open Mon-Friday 10-4. Group tours by appointment.

General Description: The Oconaluftee Indian Village is a replica of a Cherokee Community of the 1750s. Visitors experience the everyday life of the Cherokee and the artisans dress in period costumes and perform tasks done by their forefathers in the mid 1700's. There are replicas of homes of that period as well as a replica of a Cherokee Council House of that period.

General Description: Stecoah Valley Arts, Crafts & Educational Center, non-profit corporation, was formed by a group of local citizens after the closing of Stecoah School in 1994. Its mission is to serve the people of Stecoah and Graham County through programs and services to the community including a Library, Family Resource Center, After-School Program, Summer Youth Program, Gymnasium, the Junior Appalachian Musicians Program (Jam) and the Appalachia Arts Program, and others.

General Description: Open April to Labor Day, closet location near the outside the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park Q Deep Creek camping area. Look for our gazebo on the left before entering the park. Located directly on the creek, you can walk into the Park to put in the water, then just exit the water on the steps near the snack bar at the end of the run.
